Hanging a DVD Storage Rack
DVD Storage Units Can Help You. http://www.dvdstoragefurniture.net - 1/6/10
So, do you have a feeling that a DVD storage rack could help you keep and organize your DVD movies or games a little more efficiently? If so, let me tell you that you are absolutely correct. I needed one for the longest time and never realized it until my very organized girlfriend and I moved in together and she bought me a couple of them. In short order I figured out how useful they were, but I had to figure out a couple things first and I planned on sharing them with you.
The first thing to keep in mind is that you will likely have to mount them on or against a wall. It's really no harder to mount a DVD storage rack than it is a picture frame, but there are a couple tips I can offer you on how to do it that I had to learn. First off, if you have drywall walls, make sure that you use a properly sized wall anchor to mount your DVD storage rack. Don't just use screws as they will pull out and can hurt someone if your not careful.
If you are mounting the rack, this will be important for you to read. It's really important that you don't put your racks above eye level. I learned this the hard way as well. If you mount them too high, it becomes hard for guests, or shorter people in your family to not only get them out of the rack, but even browse the titles. I had my lovely girlfriend at the time begin to climb the rack I had installed because I put it up at my eye level which was far too high for her to reach. So mount it lower than you might otherwise would if you have guests over regularly or shorter people in your family.
