If you are a video gamer, than this all becomes much more expensive as each game can cost as much as $70!|I've said it before and I'm sure I will say it many more times in the future when I consult individuals about their movie collections, but you may not realize just how much money you have tied up in your digital media collection. Often time there will be over a thousand dollars in movies alone. If you or your kids play a lot of video games, your investment can become exponential larger than that. With how expensive video games can be, your investment might be exponentially larger than your realize.|At the risk of sounding like a broken record, it should be re-enforced to really consider how much money you currently have invested in your movies and other digital media. At $10 to $20 a pop, movies aren't as cheap once you add a couple dozen of them up. In addition to that, if you or someone in your family plays a lot of video games, at nearly $70 a piece those add up very quickly as well. Can you see how quickly your total investment adds up?}

{The point of this is that your DVD rack needs to serve the purpose of protecting your investment in addition to just holding your movies. It's for this reason that many interior decorators I've spoken with also suggest that you try to get an enclosed DVD rack when possible. By using something that's enclosed, you help prevent possible damaged from accidentally occurring to your movies. In addition, that gives you the option to get a DVD rack with a lock as well, to help prevent possible theft in the event of a home break-in as well.|What I'm getting to is that a DVD rack also need to be able to secure and prevent damage from occurring to your movies. This means that in many cases you may want to buy an enclosed DVD rack. Most interior designers tend to recommend these for just that reason. By protecting your investment you will help ensure that you can enjoy your home theater for years to come while spending the least amount possible on the upkeep of your collection.|All of this points to the fact that you should rely on your DVD rack for more than just storage, but protection as well. When speaking to most interior designers they feel that design is a critical aspect to any home furnishing, but with DVD racks, protection is also a requirement. It's for this reason that an enclosed DVD rack is not only encouraged, but a locking one is even better. These will not only offer collision protection, but possibly deter theft as well.}
